    7.62x39

Both of my Mini 14 deals fell through, which is probably a good thing. For what it's worth and what it cost you, Gander Mountain shows a Saiga 5.45 x 39 on their website for $450. They come in other calibers too but they don't show them. They are shipped as a sporter for legal reasons and then...

    Thinking about buying an AK

Not really excited about the AK being Russian but I know I can find one in my budget and for what I am wanting (SHTF rifle) it fits the bill. Well, I don't think there is an American made AK. So have at it. :D

    7.62x39

I was dealing on two of them. One turned out to be a liar. The other guy is over 2 hours away and at this point does not seem willing to meet half way. I will keep you posted.

I am working a deal for a Mini 14 right now and it is your fault!

    Any one tried these?

So far I have steered clear of the lead bullets. Handling them, breathing the lead, and having to be concerned about leading my barrel has kept me in fmj and plated bullets. JMO.

    Bought an LC9 today

Yes. Once again looked at the XDs. Saw both the 45 and 9mm at the gun show. Very nice little handguns but have never completely made peace with the made in Croatia part. M&P Shield. Very nice. But at the end of the day, there was one new in the box LC9 at the show and it came home with me. I...

    Thinking about buying an AK

I agree on all points yz. I don't think AR's show their accuracy edge until you stretch it out a little longer, like 100 yards and beyond. I owned all three Saiga shotguns and apparently I am the strange one. I sold what seems to be the most popular one, the 12. I kept the 20 and the 410. The...

    Bought an LC9 today

Recently I sold my LC9 to a friend. I wasn't really wanting to sell it, but he literally called and told me he was locked in his business (unarmed) while 2 guys prowled around outside. I had been telling him for quite a while that he should have a gun since he often works late and has quite a...

    Scouting for .22LR ammo...

If I am reading that correctly, that is 32 cents per round for a standard velocity .22 long rifle. Is that right? If so, that may be why they still have some.

    Thinking about buying an AK

I love Ak's and I love my Saigas, which are basically AK shotguns. As much as I like to buy American made guns, AR's don't excite me and I feel like I need to take a college course to even know what to buy. The more I look at them the more confused I get as to what is good and what isn't. Good...

    Reloading room

You mentioned electronics. I once went to wipe off my computer monitor with a rag slightly dampened with very mild window cleaner. Unfortunately, I did not shut it off first. As soon as I touched it there was a little pop/crack from what appeared to be static electricity. Next day I went to town...

    Reloading room

You mean it wasn't a tutorial??? :o Joking of course. I am sure that I will move to a progressive one day, but to be completely honest I spend my whole life in a hurry. The only time I really slow down is shooting, reloading, and hanging out on the boat. I'm just not ready to turn reloading...

    On a better note!

OK, my last two posts were pretty negative so here is something positive. Every time I carry one of my other guns, I appreciate my LCP even more. I just love that little dude. IWB, OWB, or in a pocket holster, it just rides around and does what it does. I can honestly say without a doubt, that I...

    Scouting for .22LR ammo...

JMO, but I think the ammo manufacturers are capable of making more .22 ammo but aren't for 2 reasons. 1. By trickling it out they are keeping the hoarders hoarding and an insuring an artificial panic. I hope the hoarders choke on it by the way. 2. They make a bigger margin on centerfire ammo...

    Scouting for .22LR ammo...

Well I am retired from .22 shooting until further notice. I am so freakin tired of walking around stores looking for .22 long rifle I could scream. 4 stops today. Not one single round. None. Not one. Not even shorts. Not even ammo at ridiculous prices. Zero.
