    I had an Armalite and a DPMS. They were plenty benchrest reliable...but I would have at least one malfunction per range trip, usually stovepipe or double feed. In my mind it takes what is already a fantastic PDW/basalt gun and makes it worse

    I understand the AR10 proprietary parts thing is largely academic...but it still bothers me. Maybe the engineer OCD coming through.

    Nah...in my experience they are unreliable and the proprietary parts per manufacturer kills it for me
