    Opinions on the S&W 360PD...

A friend has run into some hard times and is selling a few of his guns. He's offered me the 360PD chambered for .357/.38spl for a decent price. However, I am struggling with the thought of shooting a small 11.4oz revolver with a .357 load. I noted that mukwah has a LCR in .357 I believe. It runs...

    Ruger LC.380!

...+1, 3C. Not sure why anyone would go to a .380 given the size of the LC380, other than recoil. There's a lot of competition in the LC380 category in a more potent 9mm...LC9, PPS, PM/CM9 and others. I doubt very seriously if a person would be concerned about a little extra bite if defending...

    Well, what'd ya git?

...I received a three pound American Express invoice...personally delivered, signature required, by FedEx ;D. Seriously, my lovely spouse gave me a Redfield Rampage spotting scope to replace a very old Barska that finally died. It is a gem and will be placed into service next time I'm at an...

    Interesting, kinda scary!

I've read several of Mark Dice's books and he can certainly be controversial. Opinions regarding his work are about split even...with very little middle ground. He is not a fan of the Guidestones as indicated in mukwah's link. I viewed a YouTube vid last summer that he posted on this subject...

Very nice watches, BTB. However, you need a decent watchsmith, new batteries and/or lessons on the winding stem function ;D...I'll place odds on 7:41 (not sure what time zone GMT wise) being the correct time when the pics were taken. Tarheel

    ...question...

...thx....found this in the BATF regs: 6) A short-barreled shotgun which came from the factory with a pistol grip and no buttstock is categorized as an AOW (smooth-bore pistol) rather than a Short Barrel Shotgun (SBS), because the Gun Control Act describes a shotgun as, “…designed or redesigned...

    Hypothetical

BTB, just a curiosity question. What .25ACP pistol is SAO? My Bobcat fits the bill, but it's SA/DA. It's extremely accurate, reliable and is user friendly. That said, I'd go with the Bobcat and practice alot (7+1 in .22lr and 8+1 in .25ACP). I've fired a 9mm Derringer (Cobra) on several...

    ...question...

Verticoli, is that classified as a handgun, as opposed to a shotgun? It appears to be way too short overall to be within the shotgun minimum (18" barrel, 26" overall). Just curious. Tarheel

...Rich, that was standard issue to the Air Corps and Navy, mostly aviators. I checked the serial number and it was manufactured in 1942, issued to the Air Corps. I'll take a few pics of mine next time I head west to the mountains. Tarheel

...nice collection. I have only one mechanical timepiece (WWII Hamilton 4992B ), given to me by an uncle who carried it during WWII and an cherished keepsake. It was originally issued to the Army Air Corps guys, but he managed to have one as a captain Army ground pounder. The thing still...

    Latin lover

...BTB, I've always been a fan of Beretta firearms...fine craftsmanship and ultra reliable. I currently own the following Beretta's: * Model 21A EL - .22 (purchased 1990) * Browning: Model BDA - .380 (purchased 1979): Sold as Browning, but sponsored by FN and manufactured in Italy. * 92FS INOX...

...anyone have any experience with this Linberta tactical shotgun? I watched the vid and it certainly is impressive and the price seems reasonable. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411551704/Linberta+01LSTAC+TACTICAL+SEMI+AUTO+12ga%2C+20+%22 Thx, Tarheel

    Wal Mart walk

Funny, how these older folks enjoy their daily "sniff of spirits". My mom loved her light daily Old Fashioned beverage. She was in assisted living for seven years and they didn't allow alcohol on the premises. So, I visited her almost daily (late PM after dinner) and with me was a pre-mixed Old...

    What does "Keyhole" mean?

...have to remember to check the muzzle brake and crown. Any irregularities in those areas nicking the bullet upon exit will pile on a heap of keyhole probs. Also, The barrel should be inspected for fouling as well...grooves loaded with debris will effect functional twisting to some degree. JMHO...

    Hello all...

I stopped by to wish you nice folks a wonderful Holiday Season and a healthy and prosperous 2013. Goodness, it seems hardly possible that this year has slipped by so quickly. My spouse and I have been quite busy the last few months finishing up a home we’ve been building and remodeling three...

    OK, I'll start

...Fred, you definitely have a one track mind ;D. Skip, we are on the same song sheet. I've owned this 19-4 for about 35 years. Love to shoot this revolver and it's seen a lot of traffic down range, yet still keeps a purdy face: Tarheel
