I'm not a huge fan of Larry Vickers but him and Wilson Combat do make the best 1911 magazines. In a weapon platform that its achilles heel is the magazine(especially in 9mm) I'd be stupid not to buy the best magazines that I can.

If the baseplate is typical stamped thin sheet metal I can do it for sure.
Probably have to cut it at the bottom of one of the horizontal ribs then cut a groove at the top of that horizontal rib for the baseplate to lock in solid
Factory DW mags are Check Mate mags with DW lasered on them.
Never had a prob with Check Mate and they are only $20-$25 each
