Got a pending review bill for ER visit back a year ago, 7.9k back when I thought I fucked my lungs up at work burning plastic with a torch, had breathing problems so I left work. Feel gay saying it but I felt like total shit that day, couldn't take a deep breathe. 7.9k was my bill I was in and out in about an hour.... and then I did a follow up with a lung test at a specialist and that was 1.1k lol Im just like what in the fuck is going on.. currently working with my insurance but it doesn't promising, im sure it'll be dropped just not sure how much. Ive also filed a dispute with my work today, HR, haven't heard back but I feel like I shouldn't be responsible for a medical bill I incurred from toxic fumes I was exposed to at work. No OSHA, No PPE, no safety training
back a year ago I mentioned it to a co worker what had happened and he said he had similar side effects, we both did research online and got respirators

all my tests came back clean and all is well health wise. I'd hate to go down that route.. although I feel like it may come to that, feel like my work will say fuck off because if they did pay out it would be admitting guilt/liability thus opening the door for further lawsuits or claims from other employees. I also don't know any lawyers, at least none that are currently practicing in GA.
There is more to the story of course, we don't do this type of work on the daily, its just something we do to remove labels during the winter outside, but the fumes go directly up your nose as you are standing right over it. Its definitely a problem, I know that if I did threaten a law suit I would loose my job
I'm surprised that wouldn't fall under workers comp, unless the company is that small.
When it comes to lawsuits, don't ever threaten to sue. If you are gonna sue them, just do it.
Another option is to ask of you can go on a payment plan. They are done through the provider and typically 0% interest. Just an idea.
I have some of that same ammo. Has it gone up a lot in price?
Picked up a noice little hottyshotty toodae, for less than you might think. There’s still some deals to be found. Need to switch the sidesaddle over to the other side tho — I’m a lefty.

JARD trigger failure. I was pretty sure that was going to happen, it was sketchy from the start.
I think I need to just use a regular return spring on the hammer. The hammer spring doesn't interact directly with the trigger on this one for some reason and I think that's the problem.
