After 5 years of sitting in basically a forest now. I pulled her out. Fucking full of snakes, ants, and hornets. Like this thing just pissed god off sitting. Anyway, with out a tag and just a prayer that the tires weren’t dry rotted. Got it to my house. Got rid of all the nasty critters, snakes were removed at location. Just black snakes, no harm there.

Currently as it sits the big on the back is the firebox and smoker. The front portion is a Santa Maria style grill. Which haphazardly is lifted and lowered with that jank ass pulley system. But that’s coming off, and being shortened. Trying to figure out the best way to get all the rust off before I hit it with high temp.

Not so much a cooking thread, but fuck it. It’s a grill.

This is something I’ve thought about, well actually sand blasted. I need to check into it and see if anyone up here does it.

Find a steel fab shop or mechanical contractor. Probably cost a few hundred to get it blasted and a coat of shop primer put on. Also, some industrial blasters would shoot holes through anything less than 1/4" thick if they aren't being careful.

Hahaha man, I said that too often when I scrape the grill with a steel grill brush. Hahah pansies.

Lol. My BIL got a grill for Christmas last year, I bought him some accessories at Lowe’s. The kid working that section made a big fit about the stainless steel bristles could come off and get in the food, blah blah blah. Kid couldn’t have been a day over 16.

Considering the fire box, is pretty rusted too...think it’ll fly right through. I’m ready to do some more welding. God knows those welds haven’t gotten any prettier hahah

That figures. Can’t trust the workers at Lowe’s or Home Depot to know their butthole from a hole in the ground. Haha
