Hey, it's not that far. I made the drive three times this week so far.

I may take you up on that despite the drive. My 13 year old has yet to show any interest in shooting, but my 5 year old is hounding me about taking him shooting with me. I'm just not comfortable taking him to any of the public ranges around here.
