I am not a Glock fan. I doubt a mini glock would be any different. If I got a G43 I'd need to spend a shit ton of money to send it off to have a grip reduction done to eliminate the palm swell. It wouldn't be worth it for a gun that I still probably wouldn't like.
Ruger LC9s Pro ftw.

I had a first gen LC9. Damn good gun. My EDC for a long time. Never let me down on the range. And it was accurate. The DAO trigger was shit though. LC9s Pro is leaps and bounds over my old gun. I would not hesitate one second on buying one.

The LC9s pro does seem like a good option. I haven't fired one personally though.

What don't you like about the shield? That seems to be the most popular.

The trigger mainly. It was gritty as hell and not consistent. Even with an Apex trigger I still didn't like it. This was when they first came out so I don't know if they have gotten better or not. I really just want to try something different this go round. I'm leaning towards the Walther.

It sounds like the walther and the ruger are the only two other options except for maybe a 1911

Stock shield triggers suck but with the spring/sear kit they're very nice. Plus a lot more common & more aftermarket parts than Walther.

Lc9s has a great trigger. The XDs trigger is not very good but can be with a kit from PRP but it's the most difficult install I've ever done on a firearm.

I'm a Shield fan for its intended purpose for me...small, concealable, reliable and lightweight option for me to carry when I have shorts a tshirt on or needing something to not print at all.

I'm gonna go track down and fondle the Walther next week. I have been watching a few videos and reviews on them and it looks like a winner. I wish that my M2 had the interchangeable back straps like the PPS Classic. I'll deal with it though to not have that stupid paddle mag release...I don't think I could.pocket carry a 1911. Plus, the only 1911(besides a FS Govt. Model) that I really want costs $1,500 and I don't have that kinda money to spend at the moment.

Yeah, I agree that the Shield will have more aftermarket parts available than the Walther but the only thing I'd probably do to the Walther is a set of night sights and some grip tape.

I am gonna try to see if I can find a store with both the PPS M2 and the LC9S Pro. I didn't really mind the trigger on my old XDs that much. Weird because most people like the triggers on the Shield better, but I was the opposite. I really just want to try something different this go round, otherwise I'd buy another XDs. I'm still kinda considering getting an XDs 4.0, but I couldn't pocket carry that.

I'm just not very fond of the Shield. To each their own.

I held one of those and didn't like the way it fit in my hand...actually now that I think about it, I think it might have been a DB380.

The lc9s trigger is almost too"good" for a carry gun. Light, smooth almost too light imo, and I'm a fan of light triggers.

Get an @Leshaire pocket holster and boom. Done. Perfect SAFE carry.

I wonder if @Leshaire can make a pocket holster. I have always bought kydex pocket holsters from Alabama Holster Company for all of my guns that I pocket carry. Their lead times suck though. My last one was about 2 months IIRC.

Yeah I can. But as rwjeter and I found out the specialty prints are not big enough lol. So they have to be in standard colors

Yeah, kinda bummed about that. Was really looking forward to a pocket holster for my 42. Leshaire makes great stuff though. I love my IWB he made me. I'll definitely be buying more from him.
