I usually pic up local live stuff, keeps the fish happy.
I've always had a lot better luck with live. Around here, if you hit the shallow marshland with a castnet you can get tons of good bait mullet, but the real gems are the pinfish. For some reason, everything around here loves those little guys.

Hey- How'd the trip go? Hopefully you caught a lot of fish.... I know just enough about the regulations to know I have no business fishing in Florida. I think I'd just end up paying fines.

It will be in a few weeks.

Hah, I only fish with live bait from whatever place I am fishing. Their local people are always nice and work great deals. I went to Mississippi fishing last year and caught over 50 keeper trout, using live shrimp, with three buddies and not one fisherman with artificial bait landed anything.

Just picked up a Penn Spinfisher 4500 and a Shimano Solstice 2500.

Pairing that Penn with a St. Croix Inshore Mojo for this next florida trip!

If you havent tried the St. Croix rods - you owe it to yourself.
