AKs....better to buy or build?

Just curious on everyone's opinions. Is it better to buy a well built AK, like an Arsenal, or build one on a quality receiver using surplus bulgarian parts kit?

The difference in cost is about $200....but I've never built one before. With an Arsenal I have a high confidence interval it will be good to go. A home build is...well...a home build.

Unless you already own the tools, you will spend more than 200 building it. AKs are not like ARs. Hard to believe they build these things in caves.

Sounds to me like they're challenging you. You going to puss out and buy a prebuilt or show them how engineer does it.

I'll just come over to your place and you can show me how to properly bend an AK receiver blank. Hold on, I'll start a new thread where we can all meet at your place for this valuable information. If it's ok, I'd like to stay behind for a lesson in rivets and head spacing. Thanks for volunteering bro! You rock!

I'm studying for my active aggressive certificate but can't use it until I pass the test. Until then, I guess I'll stick with passive.

I'm no expert, but I've heard tale that you can't win the webz without the passive aggressive cert; have you decided who will anoint you once you pass?
