One last thought then I'm done... Those shockwave braces can dimple the tube if the set screw is tightened too much- I might be sure the inside of the buffer tube is still round and smooth.

It wasn't working before I even took the shockwave out of the package. The tube is too short. That's my novice opinion.

Thanks everyone for helping me out. Do you think I can get this tube drilled out or am I better off just getting a new one?

Gotcha- in that case, I'd have to agree- the tube is the culprit this time.

And I'd only consider myself a novice at best. I've built a couple but haven't really run into problems yet- Rare good luck on my part.

I'm wondering if I can find someone to drill it out another quarter inch. Seems like it would be easy enough.

I'm not sure if those tubes are extruded or drilled- provided someone had a 1" drill bit and a machine, it would be easy enough to drill it out. I might check the overall length just to be sure the material is there at the end of the tube.

I wonder if it's a tube for a 9mm build. I know people stack quarters in their carbine tubes when they run it in a 9mm config.

This has been a good learning experience.
I'm gonna build another one in a couple months. I enjoy this.

It's addictive. Any spare parts laying around turns into an excuse to build another one

I really want a 308, but I'll get some expert help with that one. I don't want to Fuck up something I put 1500 into.

Any reason why i shouldn't shoot steel case through this? Is there any ammo that y'all know about that works better with a 7.5" barrel? I'll get my new tube on Monday and it should be fully functional. Now i gotta take it out and get running. I haven't decided what ammo to shoot.

Shot a couple rounds out of the pistol last night. My ears were ringing for a hot minute. That thing shits fire out about a foot. I accomplished what I set out to do. Rediculousness.

Put a kx3 on. When I had a 7.5 with kx3, it'd shoot flames almost 3 feet on cheap Russian ammo.

Did a build with an 80% lower stripped upper. Did all milling and piecing together. Have $520 in it and have put about a thousand rounds out of it so far with only one Ftf. That was magazine related. Priced similar complete pistols and have found that I would have had to pay at least $1100 with all the options that I have on mine.

We had another guy on here who did the same thing and had about the same into his. He got several parts from other people after he started a thread saying he couldn't afford them or something like that so I don't know how much he actually had into it or if he took into account the cost of the donated parts.
