What Do Do If You Get Pulled Over While Carrying Concealed?

So your position is your rights exist to allow you to hide crimes you've committed? I guess I see the constitution as serving a bit of a different purpose. It's designed to protect us from government abuses. Unfortunately we live in a society full of people like you who see it as a way to help...

What Do Do If You Get Pulled Over While Carrying Concealed?

I have handled literally thousands of criminal cases and never seen a person who has not committed a crime and who was polite and cooperative have an officer "find a reason" to arrest them. Yet I've seen dozens of times an officer arrests a person who committed no other crimes but was...

What Do Do If You Get Pulled Over While Carrying Concealed?

As an attorney, it's people like you that make my job a nightmare. People who think they know the law but know just enough to cause problems. Go ahead and act like you know better than me. Fine. But I'm duly licensed to practice law in Ohio for the last 11 years. So I'll stick with what I know...

What Do Do If You Get Pulled Over While Carrying Concealed?

Because he is not my enemy and we are fellowcitizens. I treat them like I would anyone else. I'm not on a warpath to assert my rights. I'm out here trying to live in the same society as the officers are. Sometimes that means letting some things go even if you feel you have the right. I'm all...

What Do Do If You Get Pulled Over While Carrying Concealed?

I don't think you understand the difference between NOT saying something that would incriminate you and SAYING somethimg that would NOT incriminate you. One is a 5th amendment issue, the other is not. Being required to notify an officer is NOT a 5th amendment issue. In fact it is the OPPOSITE of...

What Do Do If You Get Pulled Over While Carrying Concealed?

While I agree it shouldn't be a criminal issue, I strongly advise notification anyway. It is common courtesy to an officer who already knows you have a permit and might be carrying and is already on edge approaching a vehicle (talk to any LEO if you have trouble understanding the concerns and...

Do you have the necessary skills to effectively carry

Anyone who discounts training because some other person suvived an attack without training is missing the point.

What Do Do If You Get Pulled Over While Carrying Concealed?

Yeah I transposed the terms. Ohio says promptly and Michigan says immediately. Typos happen. Thanks for pointing it out.

    Flinch???

Like the vids guys. @Dirtbike, I'm going to steal that baseball stage to do at home. That looks like a fun game and easy to set up with one target on a home range.

.300 blackout... is there a practical application for it?

I've never really used .300BLK so I'm not very familiar with the down range ballistics. It would seem to me that the weight of the bullet combined with slower speeds would mean a much more arced trajectory. With 5.56, a 50/200 yard zero results in no holdover at 200 yards and only a few inches...

.300 blackout... is there a practical application for it?

Yeah, it wasn't designed to be ballistically equal to those other .30 cal rounds (.308, .30-06, etc...). It was designed as a necked up 5.56 cartridge that delivers more mass on target at sub-sonic speeds so that with a suppressor it is virtually silent. It has it's niche uses, such as home...

Flexible ccw in the maumee/toledo area

Get 5 or 6 friends together and I'll do a class just for you in a time that works for your schedule. I'm in Wauseon so I'm sure we can put something together nearby.

.300 blackout... is there a practical application for it?

Well it fits in standard 5.56 magazines with a standard AR-15 lower. So at the very least that is a benefit over having a separate gun for .30 cal.

    Flinch???

I agree with Chris. Focus on shooting fundamentals slowly and deliberately. Speed isn't something you need to work on (until you are at a high level) it is something that will come with proficiency.

    Some old finds...

I was going through my storage the other day and came across some cool stuff I forget I had from the mid 90s. This was back when I was shooting competitively as a teenager. The UltraMatch brick was part of a prize package from the Sportsman's Team Challenge. This was the high end match .22...

Lets talk about our concealed weapons we carry

I carry a Glock 23 on duty and when clothing allows, or a Glock 26 for basic concealed carry in pretty much any clothes. I shot a Glock 43 over the weekend and like it a lot. I just can't find a reason to carry it over my Glock 26 since I have yet to encounter a situation where I cannot conceal...

I'm going to need to see your man card.......just to make sure it isn't expired. ;)

What position do you concealed carry in?

I'm pretty much exclusively 3/4 o'clock. I try to keep it closer to 3 o'clock because that fits my body better for concealment and comfort.

    Used Gun Prices Are Insane

That's how Maumee always is. I can sometimes find a private seller unloading something cheap, but pretty much if you're looking to buy a gun, that show is not the place to go. I still enjoy going, but always find much better deals in Lima or on Armslist (and even those take some looking around...
