I suppress the hell out of 5.56mm. If you mean subs. I have no interest in shooting subsonic ammo out of a rifle.

That's what pistols are for.
But pistols don't have a BUTTSTOCK.

I wonder if this will ever catch on? Seems like a great cartridge

At what decibel level?

No clue, I don't have a meter. Suppressors aren't about dbs for me, they are about enjoying shooting without earpro.

I don't even remember the last time I shot subsonic ammo out of anything but a 22.

I keep plinking rounds for 30-30 loaded with 150 grain plated bullets and pistol powder. It allows me to shoot a center fire lever gun for under a quarter per squeeze. The elevation is not far off from full power loads at 50 meters, and a 10 year old can really enjoy shooting a box out of his uncles Winchester without having a bruise for three days. Possums and armidillos don't care much for them though. That being said , someone loading a .223 round to be a 50 cent .22lr makes me :confused2:, but it isn't my money.

I agree. I only shoot full power 5.56. Mainly M193. No interest in subsonic 223. I have plenty of 22 LRs.

Although, my LR guns can't throw a 77gr bullet just under the speed of sound either.

That said, I would rather throw that same bullet at 2.5 times the speed of sound. I actually dig a suppressed supersonic crack

Just the projectile for a .223 sub costs as much as 4 .22 rounds, unless you are manually cycling the bolt using something like the titegroup load and a 55. I don't get it at all.

I just happen to know someone with one, but I don't need an incomplete AR. Those things are dangerous.

I am going to an Appleseed shoot in October, and really need to score a 10/22 anyway. If not I will be the old timer with the Marlin 60.

These youngsters and their detachable magazines; when I was your age we had tubular magazines and liked them. I remember when we had to carry our extra rounds between out teeth, and by golly we liked the taste of lead.

The point is: it's a better 30 cal solution to the AR

Comparing intermediate cartridges to 308 will leave you confused every time.
Except for people with an already ass load of magazines ...Now we would have to buy new mags or am I reading this incorrectly?
