-2QT pot, fill with 2qts water and bring water to a boil.
-Drop 8 tea bags in boiling water.
Remove pot from burner and let steep for 30mins.
-Add 1 1/2c of sugar to 1g pitcher, pour in steeped tea and fill rest of pitcher with water.
-Stir and enjoy over ice!


If you enjoy McD's tea make it 2c sugar!!

Another trick is to add teaspoon of baking soda to reduce bite!

My mom always made simple syrup rather than adding granulated sugar to the tea. Made it really sweet and no undissolved sugar crystals.

Actually learned the baking soda trick from a little restaurant up at Tallulah Gorge.

To me, waiting 30mins for it to steep, the water is still hot enough to dissolve!
