im going to myrtle beach next week and wanted to get a cliff notes of the conceal carry laws. Any input is appreciated!

Not a lot different from GA. Stay away from schools, courthouses, etc.
Concealed only is the biggest difference from GA. With a permit, you're fine with it pretty much anywhere in your car that's out of direct sight.
If you have an encounter with a cop where they can require ID, you're required to present your CWP as well if carrying. If it's in the glove of or trunk, you're not carrying it and thus not required to provide CWP or inform them that you have a firearm. SC is not a stop and identify state for Terry stops.
