I took another trip to an outdoor range yesterday afternoon. Once again we were running late. So I had about an hour and ½ to get set up.

I hadn’t fired the New England Handi Rifle or Marlin since around 1998. So both took some tuning up. The AR-15 and Savage are new, but need some work.

At 100 yards. My buddy was shooting the Zombie Joker type on the left; I was working on the standard target to the right.

Down range at 200 yards was the Zombie Jack-O-Lope.

I put about a half dozen rounds through the 3 bolt action rifles and finished up running a 20 rounder magazine of .223 and then 22LR through the AR 15. Those conversion kits are great.

I joined the club for $100. A year member ship and plan on getting back out there this week or next. I like indoor ranges but 200-300 yards of open space shooting is something else. They also have a pistol range, so that ought to get some use this summer as well.
