Correct. Soldiers were issued cases for optics.
I removed the POSP from my Vepr dozens of times since I zeroed it, and it is still good. Tension on the mount needs to be adjusted first. You need to adjust the tention so it slides on with a Firm push and then the lever tightenes it the remaining 20%.

Next week I will have a translucent purple AK mag.

And a Tula Bake I am pretty sure I paid too much for at $70....

And soon a minty waffle....

I currently don't have much in the way of AK clout mags.

Bosnian Two Rib, Hungarian Tanker, and a Iraqi BHO mag.

Yeah lefty tighty on he tension screw I learned. Remove Oval washer, remove lever, remove 3rd washer. Righty loosey. Slide on rail. Use lever to lefty turn until tight. Should meet resistance when lever is around 85% closed and is a feel thing for final tightness. Reinstall everything. That was an interesting first session for me lol
