Let's say you picked up an original German STG44

Good luck!! Advise to turn into ATF as previously mentioned. It is not worth risking the 10k/10yr penalty and never be able to possess a firearm legally ever again. Or course, take it and shoot the hell out of it 1st!

I know another guy who followed the same directions I outlined above to get his Dad's M2 Carbine registered. It worked and he was able to keep it. This was around 1999 or so.

The situation I mentioned with the Schnellfeuer was around 2010.

I do not own an STG44. It was a hypothetical question out of curiosity. It made me think of how one would handle such thing if I ever came accross one at a garage sale for cheap. I'm being serious here.

I've also wondered the same thing, run across a bring back m16 or something along those lines. would be an interesting day for sure. reminds me of when the guy on the odt had the weird briefcase that had the two pistols mounted in it so no one was sure if it was an aow or not.

I had a friend find a full auto Mac a few years back. He chopped it up into a lot of little pieces with a saw. He was on probation at the time and did not even want to risk dealing with law enforcement so he destroyed it and got rid of it immediately.

Not gonna lie, I have similar pipe dreams.
