300 BO questions

I'm easily distracted by shiny things
I'm going to build another, but can't decide between a 5.56 upper or another 300 BO gun. I don't really habe ammo for either caliber so I'm basically deciding which to stock first
I like the versatility of 300. Its a fun round to shoot suppressed, no gas in the eyes, very quiet, great for teaching new shooters.
But you can also throw in some 110 or 125gr ammo and have 223/556 energy.
Note that they used a 24” barrel for the 223. Look at the last pic to see how much performance drops in a short barrel. 556 really relies on velocity to create an effective wound channel.
