Range trip with the Ruger SR22p

Mine came back from Prescott last Monday. Firing pin peening the barrel breech and a resulting broken firing pin. Seems to be coming more prevalent. Ruger replaced the slide assembly, barrel, mag disconnect, mag latch and all takedown lever related parts. Turn around was one week. Serial number...

    Zimmerman - NOT GUILTY!!!!!!

Justice has been served, the system works. Like Casey Anthony, he'll probably have to move out of the state. How long before the parents sue George in civil court? Can't win one way, try again.

Holy snakes alive!!!!! What a rattler!!!

Ray, as a former NYer (Cheektowaga) let me remind you that Western NY from Batavia west, is home to the Massasauga, a form of pygmy rattler. The Catskills and Andirondacks harbor both Copperheads and Timber Rattlers. In the 34 years living there, I never saw any of them. Living in Florida for...

    What was your first handgun?

1985 MKII bull barrel, followed by a 1986 S&W 686. I had to wait until I moved to Florida because NY was so anal. Still have both, plus lots more.

Two fine holster makers in Buffalo, NY

Cheektowaga and Amherst. Alessi is very close to where I used to live off of Union Road by the airport. Never knew they were there. Both look like fine products.

Walmart refuses to sell shotgun to woman, says it's 'Too much gun'

All Walmarts are not the same. I walked into my local Wally World Sunday afternoon and walked out with an H&R Pardner Protector within 45 minutes. I guess I must be man enough for a gun like that!

    Guess who & when

Photography wasn't around in 1776. I'm guessing maybe a Centennial photo around 1876? Not sure who it is.

    My favorite gun store ...

Ray, I said it was 30 years ago LOL. I do remember the name. Lot's of cool gun stores here in FLA. One of my faves is 10 mins away: A.W. Peterson in Tavares. They claim to be one of the oldest gun storse in America originating in Denver in the 1800's, moving here in the 50's. Neat old building...

    My favorite gun store ...

I was there many moons ago. My ex-wife's parents lived in Patchin (near Boston) and had a laundry/dry cleaning business (Bluebird) in Hamburg. The website looks very different from what I remember, maybe a little remodeling. I'm talking about 30 years ago. It was a nice store. I left those cold...

Welcome Lovers of the Leaf! Premium Cigars (only) that is.

Still smoking Oliva Serie V sungrown. 858 sungrown when I can find them. Recently tried a St. Luis Rey from Honduras. Not as full bodied as I prefer but a good smoking cigar. Happiness is a long white ash.
