Would it make a difference that you're shooting 7.62x39 out of an AR instead of an AK, due to the height of the sights or optic over the bore? Most people recommend a 25 yard zero for the 7.62 AK. That's what I use on mine but that's not to say that there isn't a better method to use than that.
