    Personally, I would. I think the risks are pretty low if you do. I don't see the fed raising rates anytime soon with unemployment so high. And no politician is going to call for higher rates in this economy close to an election. And unfortunately, enough damage has been done to the economy that...

    Rates are low. But unless a miracle happens, they're going to stay low or go lower & the longer the shutdown goes on, the more houses will be forced on the market. It's harsh. But being a buyer with cash down in a major recession is going to get you a better deal/nicer house.
