The demise of the .22 cal.

Dave, Several months ago you recommended getting a CO2 powered BB pistol for practice. I got the one you recommended (Makarov) and I have had a blast with it. I really think the trigger time on the BB piistol will help with other pistols. And I don't have to worry about the .22 supply. Thanks...

    DeSantis Super Fly

I second Mayonardo's recommendation of the Uncle George back pocket holster. It is as good as you get for back pocket carry.

    BB guns for defense.

OK Rich. I'll try to make that my New Year's project. My current setup in the basement is pretty crude. I got some actual NRA BB targets this week so that should help. I've gotten a lot of good info on BB type pistols and rifles from this forum, especially from Dave.

    BB guns for defense.

As davevabch recently recommended (does he work for PyramidAir?) I ordered the Umarex C02 Makarov package. The package included a bottle of BBs, the 40 pack of C02 clylinders, the gun and some Pellgun oil. The order was delayed because they were out of (wait for it) BBs. But they finally got BBs...

    Scouting for .22LR ammo...

BDD - Good point. I see lots of theories on why we have seen these shortages. Maybe it's a combination of many of these. I don't know.

    Scouting for .22LR ammo...

The ammo shortage will be over when all ammo dealers are able to maintain fully stocked shelves. If this is not possible, then either manufacturers will have to increase capacity or we will have to live with ammo shortages. Manufacturers were able to keep up with demand before the current...

    Where is everything?!

In reading all of the entries it just occurred to me: is there a limit to what people will buy "just to have enough" or "just in case"? How much will be bought and stashed until the floor in the storage closet drops to the basement under the load? And if there is a time when people decide that...

    The Bark-O Lounger

That reminds me of the joke about "what is the difference between a catfish and a lawyer?"

    Winchester 94 help

Folks, I'm no restoration expert, but I have read on the Rimfire Central - Winchester forum that the best stuff to use on removal of rust and corrosion on guns is not steel wool but Big 45 Frontier Gun Cleaner. It looks like a ball of metal shavings and is available for $6.00 each, shipping...

    Savage project

Really impressed. The gun went from looking really bad to something that we would all be proud to have in our gun cabinet. Really nice work! Hoppy
