Thanks Sarge. That's what I've been doing with regards to lube. I have been using Barricade in the bore after cleaning, and also on the exterior. I'm going to order some Eezox soon to replace the Barricade in my lineup.

Thanks for the link, Pops. Sounds like a do-all. I believe that I'll have to track some down. Barricade is similar, I think, in that the product claims to cover all the bases. Do you guys think these products may be a little light/thin for a semi-auto slide or some AR15 parts?

LWS-- I'm impressed with the test results of Eezox concerning rust protection, but am not familiar with the product. Do you use it for everything, cleaner-lube-protection? If so, that would simplify things a bit.

I use whatever is at hand.....odorless mineral spirits or WD-40. They work well as cleaners. Rem oil for lube, and I like to finish up with Birchwood Casey's Barricade for rust prevention. I've always wanted to try Eezox, but it's not available locally. I'll probably order some online at some...

I do like my Remingtons and Rugers, but don't buy just for the brand. I like reliable, affordable guns. I research my purchases before I buy to avoid problems, and that has worked out well for me. I'm not interested in listing my guns, but have a nice mix of manufacturers.
