Looking at your hand loads and looking at mine I can see your seat the bullet a little too deep.

The crimped edge of the case should be into the crimping groove (the first groove from the bullet nose) and not on the full diameter surface of the bullet. That's what I am going to try first. I need to back the adjustment out on my seating die about half a turn so the bullet does not seat as far into the case. Then I will see if the crimp works better.
Not only will the crimp work better, but the load data will be more appropriate. Seating the bullets deeper increases the chamber pressure with any given powder load. Published load data is based on a specific overall length and with a specific bullet shape and length. Make sure you start on the lower end of the powder load range and work upward if you need to but be very careful and do careful tests in stages.BubbaDX said:

After digging up some 44 mag to show you what the crimp looks like I discovered I only had about eight boxes loaded up. So I loaded up about 200 empty brass I had laying around. I used my 250 grain cast bullet over top of Blue Dot. Powder.

I am using H110 powder and loading to the minimum grains listed in my Lyman reloading manual. For now I am weighing each load and that makes it a lot slower than using my Lee powder measure. But for now I think weighing each load of powder is best.
With H 110 or 296 do not go to below listed charges. These Powders are good for heavy loads.
