The crimped edge of the case should be into the crimping groove (the first groove from the bullet nose) and not on the full diameter surface of the bullet. Not only will the crimp work better, but the load data will be more appropriate. Seating the bullets deeper increases the chamber pressure with any given powder load. Published load data is based on a specific overall length and with a specific bullet shape and length. Make sure you start on the lower end of the powder load range and work upward if you need to but be very careful and do careful tests in stages.BubbaDX said:That's what I am going to try first.
