The AK. The scope is a liability, the AK an investment (potentially)................. if you're looking for a clinical answer.

I may know someone with a couple quality FFP mil/mil scopes that would sell one to you for a good price :)

And quality glass is never a liability. Hard to choot what you can't see
Of course it is. It stands almost no chance of ever gaining value. That qualifies it as a personal liability, not an investment. I'm talking from a strictly financial point of view here.

The rifle, scopes will alway be able to be bought. Depending on how things go in November the AK will be harder and more expensive to buy.

If I had some extra coin and was otherwise set with guns, id put that money toward ammo, mags, and maybe a few cheap lowers.

AK since its not something youre likely going to come across again. The scope can be had whenever.

It depends on what you want to do more. If you are just going to ge the optic, mount it, and stick the rifle back in the safe, get the AK. Hell, even if you going to shoot but only going out to 1-300 yards, get the AK.

If you really want to get into precision shooting and get out to some good distance, get the NF.

Rob Sheppers class @TruPrep this past Saturday was fantastic. So so much info on optics. After that class, I have settled on NF for the money, as well as MOA turrets/reticle and SFP.

Spray and pray get the AK and have more follow up shots in reserves. Ammo is cheaper so you can buy more of it to stock pile. Good investment.

Do you need a brand new Remington 700?
