I sold a high end car amplifier with a plexiglass top on ebay.

This mother fucker requests a return saying it has some resistors that's been changed and they're not the proper value.

But he has 500+ all positive feedback.

I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what his game is.

Ebay's gonna make you accept the return, but you can dispute it later.

I sold a set of mountain bike wheels and the dude requested a return saying he couldn't unthread some of the nipples so he had to cut spokes out and eventually take one wheel to a shop when he got in over his head. eBay told me I had to accept the return then i could dispute it as customer damaged.

Who the hell checks boards for resistor colors? Did he check all the caps and diodes too?

I think I'd have to ask for a clear picture and read the colors myself.

Sounds like a parts swapper. Chainsaw guys are bad about that. Buying something that works, swapping their busted ass parts on it, and returning.

Reminds me of a good friend's VW bug. He built a high dollar motor for it. It ended up in some guy's shop for something... mechanic swapped the crank/rods/ pistons for stock parts.

I knew I was gonna have to accept the return but I didn't know I could dispute it later. Thanks for that info! I'll hit you up and see how to go this route if I need to. Thanks man!

Right! He told me some of the 8.2 ohm resistors have been changed to 6.8 ohm. Fishy huh?

If have to go find my book to see what color/ stripes this should have, but yeah, generally I'm thinking that would make something run hot on the amp.
