Help me decide on a shotgun

@Leshaire this is a pretty good deal. I'd prefer the remchoke barrel, but honestly I could leave the improved cylinder in my gun and be happy with pretty much everything I'd ever do with it. I don't think you'd have a bit of trouble getting your money back out of this if you decide it's not for...

I've heard good things about those as well. Never had my hands on one though.

I don't know why everyone stays all over PSA's nuts. They make(or put their name on) garbage. I'd say 75% of all PSA branded parts I've ever gotten had some sort of functionality problem. I will never use their parts again. There's plenty of other places that will ship me shit parts in under a...

Help me decide on a shotgun

If I could I would. My life revolves around the availability of child care. You're welcome to the guns though. I don't know where you're at, but I'll probably be driving up to the mall of ga area and through Gainesville Friday afternoon if that helps.

I'll bring the guns and the ammo if you let me shoot summadem clays.;)

Sporting clays is where you move from station to station shooting two targets at each station not knowing where they're going to be thrown from. So you end up shooting different angles and distances. It's kinda like the golf course of shooting sports.

Help me decide on a shotgun

One of the last times I shot clays was at my buddy's wedding rehearsal dinner. He's friends with the owner of a club in Valdosta and had free reign of the place for the day. We went straight free-for-all on the 5-stand after dinner. I easily shot 600+ rounds out of my 1100 that evening and...

Help me decide on a shotgun

You'd have to pay me to shoot clays with a pump and even then I'm not sure it'd be worth it.

I really feel like the 1100 shoots softer/smoother than the 390, but they're very comparable. I've certainly never seen the need to go spend $1,500-$2,000 on a shotgun that gets pulled out a couple times a year, although I do really want to own an A400 at some point.

28" seems to be the sweet spot for me. If you're going to do different kinds of shooting, interchangeable chokes are a must have. I prefer the improved cylinder choke for sporting clays and may go to modified for 5-stand. I've had many and I don't think there's much that can beat the old...

If you plan to suppress it and/or run some type of captured buffer/spring setup like a JP in the future, just make sure the bolt carrier you get has the removable center section to accommodate the rod in the captured setup. I wasn't aware of that when I started my build, but I lucked out. Had...

QC10 Colt mag lower with a Cross Machine Tool upper. I highly recommend them as well. 5.5" barrel. The fit and finish on this thing is like nothing I've ever seen. I figured if I'm gonna stamp it I'm married to it and spent a few more dollars.

I agree with all of this except the colt mags. I love my colt mags. That said, the only issue I've had with mine was due to some shitty ASC mags. I just hate the stupid angle of the dangle with the Glock mags.

I agree that 8" is way too long. Do you know what you can do with 5.5" bro? If not, I'll show you mine... I also agree with @Laufen about QC10. I built mine on a QC10 lower and couldn't be happier. It's worth every penny. I personally wouldn't build one with a magwell block.

You can us ar mags in a ks, you just have to put them in backwards. Like they do on tv.
