so confused by this bullet, hollow point yet says this
"The X-Treme hollow point is the exact same bullet used by some of the top shooters in 3 Gun, USPSA, IPSC and IDPA, This bullet is not however ideal for home defense or law enforcement purposes."

Is it just hollow so that it crushes better on targets?

There are many HP's that aren't designed to expand.

A HP bullet that is the same weight and diameter as an FMJ bullet will be longer. Also, more of the weight is now in the rear.

The longer bullet means more contact with the rifling and the weight shift helps with stabilization. Altogether, a more accurate bullet by design, made for competitive shooting.

yah its just several factors that allow it to be more accurate but it wont expand well on target, same idea as the sierra matchking rounds. Very accurate hollowpoint but specifically states its not for hunting. Now that being said I have bought a few boxes of these 9mm rounds and they were very accurate.
