The barrel is shrouded forward of the front sight base. To thread it to 14x1 you will need to cut the shroud away before you thread. I have the 14x1 LH die to do the threading if you need it. Say the word and I will mail it to you to get it done, then you can mail it back at your convenience........@fast306stang is familiar. Here's a video on the process.
