More "jacketed" barrels, now with lifetime warranties

So essentially these are barrels that have a jacket around them and inbetween the barrel and the jacket is a heat dissipating epoxy. That means longer barrel life and less variation in barrel temp. They are light weight as well.

The big seller for me I see on them is the company is offering a lifetime warranty on the barrels, meaning if any meaningful barrel erosion occurs you can simply trade it for a new one. Depending on the accuracy of the barrel it could be a worthwhile investment since you can simply get a new barrel whenever you "shoot out" your barrel.

That's a great idea. Could be good from their perspective as well considering how much people think they shoot vs how much they really do. 99% + of shooters will never come close to shooting out their barrel

Maybe if I had a mg just to be able to take them up on the warranty.

Of course, they have to be in business to take advantage of the warranty, too.

<--- doesn't operate enough to spend $750 on an AR barrel

Mosins? Really?
Their initial design was more of a service than a pre made product, there were a few accurized mosins apparently.

Did TTI go out of business?

The barrels in the video are really interesting, especially the gas block design. I wonder what the jacket does for rigidity? Seems like it wouldn't be as good as an actual bull barrel. But maybe it's a compromise, providing weight savings, normal accuracy for a light weight barrel and more heat resistance than a lightweight?

strangely enough there are reports on some rem700 jacketed barrels of groups getting smaller after the service. like from .75" groups down to .5"

I was interested until I heard $750..... Damn..... Great idea, but damn..... I was guessing $400 to $500. And what's the big obsession with BFG these days? It looks more like BSG (Baby Shit Green) to me. The stock is kinda nifty though. Ugly, but if it offers a better cheek weld than the other PDW stocks it might be worth checking into.
