Prrsonally I find this to be a dangerous thing for LEO's to have to fumble with, use, re-learn their training, etc. I think this would get more cops killed than bad guys saved.

Oh how about don't do bad shit? Don't confront a cop? Obey commands? I mean even if it's an unlawful arrest, it's better to live to fight it later than to die trying.

Honestly I think its some dude with a "million dollar idea" like the full imaging body scanners at the airports that had to be totally redesigned after a knee jerk reaction by the government to buy into it for millions and millions (if not billions) of dollars.

If they have time to deploy this they have time to use any other non-lethal option. Also, more expensive if not properly deployed and end up shooting the person with a bullet. Where is the failsafe?
