Cheap or Expensive Sunglasses?

I have 3 pairs of YUM polarized glasses. I keepnome in the boat, one in the truck and one in my gym bag. I've owned $200 Maui Jim's, Ray Ban's, Costa's and B&L. These are by far my favorite sunglasses.

As Clarke Howard said, the Dollar store sunglasses are just as good as the $100 sunglasses!

Like NWS I wear a size 8 fitted hat. It's hard to find a pair of shades that I can wear for more than 30 minutes without getting a headache. I love the costa lenses but they just aren't wide enough - even the wave killer models. Oakley makes a good pair that fit. Also, Maui Jim - the titanium wire frames that are hingeless - fit really well. However these are not cheap and I've noticed that the frame has begun to flex off of the lenses.

My go-to pair that work well with my face are the Sunclouds. They are Smith's lesser brand (made in China) but they are the best $50 sunglasses that I've ever worn. Amazon usually has some pretty good deals on them.

I was always the cheap sunglass type of guy for many years. Always wearing my safety glasses from work, which they are still great glasses. But I got a pair of Oakley's fuel cell for the cheap from a outlet mall and have absolutely enjoyed them. It is a big difference between cheap and expensive glasses.

I'm telling you, once you try a pair of costas you will love them

If you are a person who constantly and consistently looses sunglasses, anything over $10 dollars for a pair of sunglasses can add up quickly!

My brother in law is an optician and always has expensive sunglasses that the vendors perk him. He was telling me that they pay like $20 for some of the high end $250 glasses if they buy in bulk.

I've never had any expensive sunglasses but have been thinking about buying some.

I usually wear the $15 Berkeley sunglasses in the fishing section at Walmart.

where are you guys getting all these deals on sunglasses? After being on the water again all weekend I'm back in the market for a nice pair of polarizes lenses
