Can't decide if I should keep my 357/38 lever gun

Pros:
- It is stupid quiet suppressed
- It is fairly accurate
- 357 is versatile in a rifle and a great deer round
-holds 10-11 rounds of 38
- I do enjoy some iron sight shooting
- 357 is easy to reload

Cons
- Lacks the kind of optic options I like if I ever intend to shoot it beyond 100 yards
- The barrel twist is much slower than other 357's, so subsonic loads have to stay around 158gr(Ruger 77/357 can launch much heavier projectiles since it is a 1:16 vs 1:30 barrel, interesting loads like 38 loaded to 357 oal w/ 200gr+ projectiles)
- Since I am limited to sub weight, I'd probably only hunt with it with supersonic ammunition
- No modern coating or metals, so it has to be kept very clean

What is the OON's thoughts?

Can't seem to find any pics, so here's a video

If I can't decide and I don't need the money, I put it back in the safe, forget about it and revisit at a later date. I'll usually end up deciding without even realizing it.

Go back to the 77. You can still shoot open sights, will as accurate or more so, and you pick up the ability to shoot heavier bullets. WIn/WIn

Now I have to figure out how to price this since it aint no cheap thread job.

But yea, wish SBR'ing wasn't as difficult as it was, otherwise I would get a 77/357 chopped to about 12"

Well, good luck recouping what you put into threading it. You have a pretty small target audience with that one. Unless you get really lucky, you'll have to price it as if it weren't threaded.

Unfortunately, you will lose a lot of your investment in that gun. What is the date code on it?

Hell a 45-70 threaded would be fun to reload for.

I've seen it shot through a few suppressors weaker than mine.
I wanted to do a .45-70 so bad....but I just have this "It's not a cartridge that is covered by our warranty" loop ringing in my head.

I know, I know....it's probably 100% safe...but I would be the one guy.

I can maybe help you with your .357 lever, it would save me the trouble of getting my Rossi threaded. Some time in June any of you are welcome to shoot my Lane .458 (once its out of jail). See I'm a helper.

I'm dumb and bought a Savage prefit for my .458 project, so I'll try anything! Also, I am getting a 45-70 threaded (see: I am dumb) by Dobbs early next month. I hate when I get stuck on one track.
