Was this the answer to Sig 320 or is Beretta just complying with the wants of polyguns from the public.

Is the s/n needed on the lower or just the upper. If it is would putting it on the trigger assembly need to be visible or no.

Wasn't this the gun that Beretta entered for the new Govt military contract?

This pistol is fully amby to with the slide stop on both sides and a feature to deactivate the striker mechanism while disassembling so those people that take apart the gun while loaded don't shoot an elbow.

I'm an unabashed fan of the Beretta 92 platform, and Beretta in general, so I'd like to try out the APX. Beretta tends to make a solid firearm, I even like the rotary barrel lockup system they use in the PX4 system. I had a "G" model PX4 .45 in FDE that honestly rivaled my SIG P220 for accuracy. Didn't beat it, but came damn close.

I haven't even handled the APX yet.

Little piece of trivia: Beretta is the oldest company in the world, having been officially founded in 1526. The Beretta forge was in operation from about 1500, although the first documented transaction is a contract dated October 3, 1526 for 185 arquebus barrels, for which the Republic of Venice was to pay 296 ducats to Maestro di Canne (master gun-barrel maker) Bartolomeo Beretta. The original account document for the order of those barrels is now stored in the Archivio di Stato di Venezia in Venice. Throughout their entire history, Beretta is still owned by the same Beretta family. Pretty neat.

Botach is taking pre-orders for these with 4 mags for $525. Not a bad deal at all. I'm probably gonna wait until CG&P gets them in stock and then pick one up. CG&P should have them for around the same price hopefully.

I think it's ugly as hell, but the design looks great. It seems they really looked at what people like and the modifications they do and put them in.

I kinda thought it looked like just about every other striker fired pistol out there, except this one was designed with the shooter in mind.

I just can't wait to shoot it. It's probably the most shooter oriented design I've seen.

That's what I was thinking when I saw the lower bore axis. It's not over designed but thought put into function for the shooter especially at 25yds. I'm anxious to try one out.
