With the advent of the Sig arm brace AR15 pistols are all the rage. My question to everyone, in what scenario do you really believe an AR pistol in your vehicle (assuming that's why you have one, to carry loaded in your vehicle as it IS a pistol) would be useful or necessary? I know "necessary" would be unlikely, but even a useful scenario?

Admittedly, I have one I carry in a S.O. Tech Go Bag Extended from time to time. I'll toss it in the back...but wonder...will I ever actually find this useful? Picture of mine will follow, feel free to add a pic of yours when you post a response.

I suppose if the zombies start roaming you could take out a few of them hahahahahaha!

Seriously I would have no clue as to the scenario that this could be utilized unless you were to have it on your person in the event of a large scale Active Shooter scenario, if it's in the car/truck/trunk and ya need it odds are you may not have that opportunity to get to it.

All that said it's not my place to tell somebody what they should or shouldn't carry as that's their 2nd ammendment right to do so.

Curiosity is sparked now

I love it, a blast to shoot too! I get my biggest use when traveling. The ability to bring an AR in and out of a hotel without much notice is great. Other than that...it would come in handy if I had to walk it home from a ways out.

Did I mention it is a blast!

It now sports an Aimpoint CompC3 and Inforce WML as well.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_02/IMG_20140623_211154470.jpg.64a4cfc735bc8e72f10e6c684bad5cf4.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="541" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_02/IMG_20140623_211154470.jpg.64a4cfc735bc8e72f10e6c684bad5cf4.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Yep very slim. Has spot to wrap a strap as well but i never needed it. I have that crazy pineapple break on there so theres basically no recoil. Huge fireball and loud as shit tho

When traveling more than an hour from home, I will throw my go bag in the trunk of the vehicle with my AR15 pistol. The scenario is basically in case I have to hump it home after/during a disaster of some sort that will not allow me to drive home, and I'll want more than my handgun with me. Would prefer an SBR, but I'm too cheap. :)

Ok so those are pretty Damn cool! Can you change or the flash suppressor out with a threaded one to utilize a suppressor? That would be a pretty cool combo.

Sure can. I run a Noveske KX3 Flaming Pig, but have a SilencerCo Trifecta I can mount to run my suppressor.

The KX3 is awesome for short barrels as it directs most of the sound and gas pressure down range instead of feeling and hearing it to the sides. The guy shooting next to you will appreciate it!
