Anybody with a AR10 ever pulled your factory stock off and replaced with a collapsable one? I have a UBR stock I'm thinking about putting on my LMT MWS and hear it's a little bit of a pain.
I hear different stories how to make it work ie DPMS carbine spring, Slash's heavy buffer, etc. Some even say it'll work fine without mods but I'm not gonna beat the shit out of the internals or hang up the BCG.
Oh btw it's a AR15 UBR so the buffer tube is shorter than it needs to be. Anybody ever done it if so how'd you go about it? I know the right way is using one of slashes heavy CAR10 buffers but shit $125 for just the 6.5oz buffer is stupid.
I'm thinking of getting a modified Armalite rifle spring and cutting down the H3 ar10 buffer a little bit and adding some tungsten weights to get it around 6-6 1/2 OZ. What say you?
