I've decided on my next gun. I want an AR pistol in 5.56. I've been looking for a couple days now and there are a lot out there. Do any of you guys have experience with them?Is there anything I need to look for or stay away from?

Looking at 7.5 or 8 barrel. 5.56. No brace, but that could change.

I've had at least 10 in the last 8 years or so.
Ironically, one of the cheapest ones worked the best: the KelTec PLR16. Usable barrel length, short overall length and very reliable in the 6k rds or so I ran through it (reliable for a AR anyway, but not even close to a M85/M92 or the Dracos)

Complete build for $520. Easy to do lot of fun. I chose a 10.5 heavy stainless barrel with a nickel boron bcg. Length and weight are the big factors in a build.

300 blk is well suited to short barrels; you can load it with pistol powders.

300aac was designed to run a pistol length gas system so you can go really short with no bad side effects. 5.56 is meant for a rifle length gas and the further you get from that the more issues you have.
