The sportsman's complex on fort gordon has em for 60 bucks, no tax. I'm doing a budget pistol and I'm thinking about buying this lower. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them?

$60 seems a little high. I paid $29.99 for my last batch of them (Black Friday). $50 and under is a good price IMHO. I have built alot of them. For the large majority they do just fine for budget builds.

I have run into excess anodizing in holes that I had to clean up, I have also seen some shipped with no bolt catch roll pin holes drilled. Just do a good visual on whatever lower you buy BEFORE leaving the store and 99% of the time you are ok.

My biggest knock is that hideous roll mark. Good lord, take the fucking horse off of it and just use text...lol

Lastly, you will find the anodizing colors to vary as well. Some seem lighter grey than others.

Again though, probably the best "bang for the buck" lower out. I much rather see folks use these than some bargain bin polymer receiver trying to save $10-$15.

Built 3 recently, paid about $38 ea, I had no issues with the builds, used Anderson LPKs and everything went together fine.

They had issues a while back being out of spec, but they cleared it up. If I had a chance to buy some at $60, and I was already there and didn't have to drive somewhere else I'd do it.

If you buy them and decide you don't want some down the road, send me a pm.

I have a few and the AR Pistol that lives in my trunk was built on one. I've paid from 35-50 for them.

I know they are cheaper elsewhere, but here i can walk in and walk out. No worry about transfers. They were selling them for 45 a few batches ago, but the prices have been going up. I think i'll buy the one on tuesday and if it goes well i'll buy a couple more in a few weeks.

I hear ya, I caught them on sale at AIM and bought 3, can't recall what shipping was, but not too bad.

$60 will be a bargain in December. They sell locally up here for $55.

I've built two with no issues and have at least one more around here somewhere.

Rollmark is hideous, finish is sub par, but no issues for me.

I have one that I SBR'd. Fishing didn't matter to me since I painted over it anyways. It's run just fine for me.
