I scratched one more off my list today. If I could find that elusive M44 somewhere, I could officially scratch the name Mosin Nagant off my wish list forever. This weekend my 2nd favorite gun show in the St. Louis area comes to town. It's a smaller venue but attracts some interesting people and some dealers that I don't see at the larger venue. As I wandered the aisles looking at the many things I would have loved to take home with me I ran across someone with a whole table of Mosin Nagants. I scanned his assortment and noticed one of them with a Tula stamp. Checked the price and darn it, he noticed the Tula stamp also. I pulled the bolt and checked the riflings, checked all the markings and everything was in place and the numbers all were left in-tact and matched. OK, now I was really interested so we started negotiating a little, he would not negotiate a lot. This one has a lot more character than the last one I purchased. The stock has some unusual markings that I will have to post on a Mosin forum to see if they mean anything. Yes, I am a gun-aholic and I might very well have an addiction to eastern block WWII firearms. Just trying to buy up everything on my very long list before the flood gates close forever.
Anyway, here are a few pictures.
