I've never understood people's or the media's fascination with people that own large quantities of guns. Does it somehow make him dangerous? He hasn't broken any laws. Does he have 1200 arms to somehow make him more of a threat than someone that has the typical two?

Same goes with the "bigger gun" anti-gun person's theory. You'll recognize it. If you carry a gun, you're not safe because someone could just be carrying a "bigger gun". I've read it in a number of comments in news stories. I guess having a "larger gun" caliber or size, makes you immune to bullets of smaller diameter or lesser speed.

I used to work for a guy whose next door neighbor worked for the CIA. He never lied about it and was always completely open about it. He said most times people just laughed at him and the conversation continued. Hide in plain site, I guess.

Maybe old dude was legit?

Of course, it would still require some enquiry to see if the so-called "self defense moves" were learned from a full price karate dojo rather than a discount one.

But what if it was 4 years of discount karate?
