Does anybody in this joint have anything to do with thermal scopes? Looking to get into a little night hunting. I have started doing some research and have a fairly good idea on what I am going after. But would like some (semi) trusted advice.

Even on the AH64 with the best your tax money could by, there is what’s called IR Crossover. During the natural heating and cooling of the day/night, there is going to be two times of the day when thermal sucks. @dial1911 may have been viewing during one of those times. There are multiple generations available, but each newer gen keeps getting more expensive. Based on my beer budget I pretty much ruled out thermal. Interested in what others have found with what’s available to us peons.

I've played with a ton of PAS 13's. They are complicated, don't work very well in the rain or extreme cold, only cost around $13,000.00 ... don't mix the batteries, or it will destroy the optic, and you might get 5 or 6 hours with each set of fresh batteries on the range, or on your hunt.
