Yes I am aware this is a Taurus. It's also serial number 1, which single digit serial firearms usually go for a premium, and serial number 1 firearms almost NEVER come up for sale in the market.

I’ll be the first to knock Taurus, they make garbage guns, but even they can’t screw up the 1911 design. I’ve never thought I’d ever want to buy another Taurus, but something about that serial number is making me think about it. That’s pretty cool no matter what gun it is.

I've had mostly good experiences with Taurus, but enough bad to make me leery, but the serial # & those grips have me looking at this ad everyday. I'm probably lucky I'm too broke to buy it.
