I am trying to decide on a cooler for camping. Thought I would make a thread on this regarding opinions to their favorite one.
I need a new cooler and thought about a new Coleman or a vintage one. Thoughts on this, or should I go a different route?

We have a Coleman Xtreme. We use it maybe twice/year?

<--- the poors

From what I understand about coolers the two most important things to do are to pre-chill and then to fill it all the way to the top when you do go to use it. Less headspace/dead air the better.

Good luck in your choice!

You should get a yeti but only if you get the stickers and put them on everything you own.

I bought a Canyon cooler for my service truck. I prechilled it and tired my Waters of with ice. Ice crystals literally start forming in the bottles. And that's with it riding around in the bed in the middle of a hot Georgia summer. We were in and out of it everyday and it still had ice for days later. The waters were still cold for days after that.

Another vote for the Canyon coolers. I have the mule (it has wheels and a handle). Solid cooler. Chill it and fill it good for days.

They're actually having a labor day sale right now. I thought about buying a mule for my Dad. It would be great for his pontoon.
