Next saw is an 026.
I bought this saw as a runner, and she was. I have checked everything over and all is good. Tossed on the zoomie filter just for fun. I have advanced the timing a touch and modded the muffler. Fully adjustable WT194 carburetor. Will come with regular filter and cover. 3/8 7t rim drive. Can change to .325 7t if buyer wants. Power head only. $275

Alright, I'm in need of a mo bigger saw...my ms170 (maybe that big, don't recall) isn't gonna cut up the 3 big ass pines down in my yard. Dad has a farm boss w a 24" bar and I liked it, but I'm looking at using an Alaskan mill to board up some of this pine. Likely need to run a 30"bar...please edumacate me on whether either if these will fit my purpose.

The ms170 doesn’t have a chance with a bar over 16”. What is the model of the farm boss? For a 30” bar milling, I’d want 90 cc+, could probably do it with 75ish cc, if the oiler could keep up. Milling is very hard on a saw, even in soft wood.

EDIT.... I totally misunderstood your post. These saws won’t pull a 30” bar either. Both about 50cc.

Imma get out and measure these logs again this weekend. May not need that much length to mill, will check back with you

Found a 16” bar and chain. Paint is rough but rails are level and straight. Sprocket spins smooth. Chain is meh, but I did sharpen it.
Tossed it on the 024 as it was closer to bench. Will fit either saw.
