I'm surprised there is no activity in the archery board. So I'll start a thread that anyone who bow hunts can participate in.

Just post your setup of your bow.

    Mine is:

    Bow: Mathews Outback
    Rest: QAD Ultra Rest
    Sight: Tru-Glo 5-pin
    Quiver: Trophy Ridge
    Release: SAS Adjustable
Arrows: 30" 350 Spine Carbon shaft with speed veins
    Pull Weight: 70 lbs. with 80% let-off

Nothing too special, but I shoot it well. So what do you have?

I used to be into archery big time back when I hunted in SW Ohio. Now I'm primarily rifle here in the south. However I want to buy a new archery setup, either a compound bow or a cross bow. Any recommendations that won't break the bank?

Get the Ravin R15. Baddest crossbow eva. I'm gonna get one some day. My wife would kill me if I did it now.

If you're ever out towards Carrollton, check out Bow Hunters Supply store. Very knowledgeable staff that will measure you and set you up right. And they have a nice 24 hour indoor range. We shot at 2am one time just because we could. They also have an online store.

Oh, and I also have a Mathews Outback. Wonderful bow. Before that a Hoyt ZR100. I don't remember what I have set on it now. I think it's decked out in Bone Collector stuff.
