Looking through some of the different ones available brought me to the question What’s your favorite reticle or which do you use the most??

Depending on the task at hand, I prefer the Nightforce MIL-R and MOAR reticles.
I would think those would be a good fit for the distance you shoot.

What’s on the CQB or pistols.

I run Aimpoint Micros on my carbines, so just a red dot. I don't run optics on my pistols.

I received my Nightforce NX8 1-8x24 F1 with the FC-MOA reticle today, so I'll start shooting that as well.

I put LMT LA8 on my pistol. Nothing wrong with red dot I just like irons better.

That 1x8 is awesome. It’s on my wish list for NF. Deffinately in MOA I cant speak mil lol makes my head hurt.

for hunting applications i like a standard duplex. most of my hunting calibers and range (to the critter) are such that it doesn’t make a lot of difference to use hold overs.

for my self defense rifles - i like a standard red dot or whatever comes in the 1-4 or 1-6x that i can afford.

I haven't shot my Strike Eagle on my M4 yet, it should make the M16 qualification stupidity easy. I need to get a new scope for my .308, currently looking at a Vortex MRAD or MOAR reticle.

Since asking specifically on magnified optics, SKMR 3 and EBR2c. All mil of course. I like having milling for wind holds, but not something overly complicated like the various Horus reticles. The center dot on the the SKMR 3 and the open center on the EBR2c are simply lovely as well.
