Well, I figured since they're on order and some of us are already getting parts together (at least I am....) I'd go ahead and start a thread. Here's what I have so far. SET green B5 systems SOCOM Enhanced stock, SET green BCM Gunfighter pistol grip, SET green Midwest Industries mid length 2 piece hand guard, Strike Industries charging handle, Spikes Tactical upper (to match the lower), Magpul ASAP back plate, and assorted small parts.

I think I'll replace my poverty lower (PSA) on my AR. I'm leaning toward a BCM grip and stock and a flat single stage trigger of some sort.

Then I'll save my poverty lower and build a hunting AR down the road.

I really think I'm going to bring for a geissele 2 stage finally. Never had an AR with an exceptional trigger. Bout time I changed that.

I only have the one AR now and I figure I might as well have a good trigger. Plus I really like flat triggers.

The giessele triggers are nice.
That's what everyone says. I have an ALG ACT in my 9mm and the ALG AKT in my AK74. The AKT is exceptional. The ACT is definitely an improvement over standard AR triggers, but nothing mind blowing. I want something really sweet.

You will not be hating on it.

Put a set of JP yellow springs on the ACT trigger and it will be a lot nicer for a couple of dollars. That's what I'm running in my AR9 since it is a range toy. I'm running standard ACT triggers on most of my AR's since I hunt with them and they all feel the same with I pick them up. I really didn't want anything too light for hunting or on my LR308.

Bahahaha! I can only image how fast you'd empty a mag unintentionally with a light trigger on that 308! I'll check into those springs for sure though. Thanks for the tip.

I have AR's in 223, 7.62x39, 308, and 9mm and everything except the x39 I shoot suppressed. I like being able to pick up one and having the triggers feel about the same. I think the yellow springs are a 3.5-4# weight. ACT with lighter set is 4.5# I believe. Believe it or not, 308 with tuned gas block is not that much more recoil than a 223 carbine. Old x39 is a Clinton era gun with pin/welded flash hider. Trigger felt like it was polished on concrete before being changed out a few years back.

My Varminteer had been cerakoted when I got it and whatever numb skull did it used the actual trigger pin instead of the polymer pins when he sprayed it. I couldn't figure out why the trigger sucked SO bad. Then when I pulled it and saw what happened it was obvious. I took a wire brush and got it off. It's tons better, but still not great.

2000 grit sandpaper in WalMart auto section is your friend here. Roll it up on a toothpick and go easy on the holes. Other option is to put a set of KNS anti walk pins in. I run them on a lot of my guns due to the extra love a suppressor gives them. If you need another set of trigger pins, shoot me a PM as I have a bunch that have been swapped out putting in the ACT triggers.

I appreciate that man. Do you know someone local that stocks those yellow springs? I hate paying $7 shipping for a $10 part.

I'm thinking the 6.5 Grendel as I talked about with you this morning @Rwjeter unless I decide to stay in the 556 arena. It's way cheaper :)

Yeah, I found steel wolf on several sites for like $.22 a round. It's way cheap. And hits like a hammer comparatively. .50 Beowulf was a $1.50 a pop. Pass. Lol
