I’ll admit to not being a LPVO fan. I’ve owned several, currently have a Nightforce NX8 1-8X24mm, love the concept.........but I keep going back to my Aimpoint Micro. I’m faster with my Aimpoint, and good out to 500 yards on steel. For a general purpose carbine I prefer a RDS. The LPVO for me shines in other roles.

YMMV

Damn, I wish I could say I was 1/12th that good, but I've not put in my 10,000th hour yet at long distance shooting.

I have, however, put in more than 10,000 hours at compiling useless bits of information on detritus about which very few people give a rat's ass, and nobody would pay good money for me to regurgitate. :bored2::yawn::blah:

Funny to me that the two guys who liked that post were two guys who’ve heard me blather on about guns and such.

But it was free, at least.

Just because I said I can hit steel at 500yds with my Aimpoint Micro T2 doesn’t mean that I think I can replicate that reliably in the “real world”. I’m careful about what can be done on a range, which is a controlled environment, when I’m calm vs what I can do in a real gunfight/shooting when my heart rate is up, and the threat is moving and/or shooting back.

When my daughter was 10YOA she was ringing steel at 500yds with a DD M4V1 with Aimpoint Micro T1 and M193 ball.
